A Tale of Two Closets – Day Three
Again, not really crazy about this outfit. I need thicker tights, for starters and don’t like the proportions. I am learning a lot in this dual post — what I don’t like and maybe I can’t be as much as a clothing minimalist as I would like — I need some other choices!

I think your wardrobe calls for strategic pops of color. Initially, I thought red, and I still do. Now I’m also thinking a bit of ice blue… maybe a pashmina, necklace, earrings or sweater would be lovely against your paler skin during the winter.
I have found that leggings work well with my skirt/boots combos. They are thicker and warmer, and I can wear thinner socks if needed, depending on the boot. I like the long necklace!
Beth, I may give that a try. I need warmth!
Phyllis, as spring comes closer, I’m strating to think about those colors again … I do love red!
I have been reading about your minimalist clothing challenges and decided to try it out on my recent 5 day trip to Los Angeles and found it to be wonderful. I took a pair of black pants, 1 pair black tights, 1 dress, 1 sweater, and 1 gray tunic top. I also packed 2 scarves and 2 pairs of shoes. I had plenty of room in my luggage to bring back some souveniers and I managed to dress quite nicely on the trip!
